How many makeup brushes do you own

It is certainly not a must have, but certainly a nice to have and the price is right — cheaper than a latte at Starbucks. It work well for concealer and cream shadow and is a great complexion perfecting brush. I have had mine for 25 years and it is still as good as new. I love working. They are the perfect fit for my face and get all into the nooks and crannies for a flawless application. They are a great price, making them easy to toss after just a few uses.

You always want to use these sponges damp, or they will soak up your foundation and not work well. I also like to spray them with setting spray to make my foundation last longer. Aslo, the bristles are just a bit longer, making it a bit more flexible and easier to work with. It provides a much softer look and is also a great tool for blending edges together and placing an accent color into your outer crease.

This particular brush has a bit more of a tapered tip than some others, making this my favorite one. It is so easy to get color blended. My recommendation is to have 2 of these brushes. One for applying color and a clean one for blending. Because this brush is fairly inexpensive, you can purchase a couple without breaking the bank. It is great for pressing your base shade into your shadow primer and making it last all day.

I love the size of the brush and the length of the bristles. They are a bit firmer and perfect for laying on base color. The quality is great for the money. Sonia Kashuk also has a great selection of individual brushes, so you can build your own set with ease.

These are the brushes I recommend to people on a budget. That was a lot of information, but I hope it help you. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below, or send me an email. Your email address will not be published.

Im 48 and appreciate all your tips, tricks and make-up dupes. I have a question when you travel or for your brushes how do you store them?

Do you have a separate make-up case for your purse? Hi Carrie, I am so glad you are here. I do my makeup in the morning and just use my setting spray. My touch up kit contains cream products, so I can just use my fingers.

Your article is quite helpful! I have so many questions, and you have answered many. Thank you! Such a nice and superb article, we have been looking for this information about the complete list of makeup brushes and their uses. Indeed a great post about it!! Thanks so much! This is so helpful. I was feeling overwhelmed by brush choices at the store today. I feel confident now knowing what I need to go back and buy. Thank you for this post!

Such a ton of info!! How can anyone be so thorough??? Very good sale alert: Clean beauty brand Kosas — of tinted face oil and serum-like mascara fame — is hosting a sitewide sale and everything! Top beauty retailer Sephora is using their international reach to emphasize how Black beauty and Black trends are the blueprints for the beauty industry.

That unfolding cas. I was washing my brushes the other day and it took for-bloody-ever - and all I cleaned were the foundation and eye brushes. My various powder and cheek tools are still in need of a good screamingly-bright-blusher-removing scrub. The fact is, I might have a few too many for my needs, but I use 'em.

With about 15 shadow brushes at my disposal and laziness in my heart, I find they only get a proper clean when I've worked my way down the ranks from the ones I love to use to the ones that give only an OK result.

All-in-all, I have about 40, and no intention of stopping. New to my wishlist is that baby skunk brush from Mac we looked at last week and I would adore to get my paws on a set of Shu Uemura's Kolinsky brushes. What about you?
